Is that by taking some classes via your local CC too?!?! My mom is currently working on her Master's and some of her classes are actually available at community colleges....

I don't think it's bad at all for a Masters but I see what you are saying when you look at it as the whole amount.

I am paying a little less than that for just my associates:faint

Oh yeah, that is actually reasonable...LOL. That is why I am not bothering with my MBA. It wouldn't really pay for me to get it if I am staying civil service and I don't want to be paying student loans for the rest of my life...LOL.

My daughter is looking at $28K a year, x4 years, for her PharmD.

This is what I told her: look at that loan amount (or payment amount) in terms of what you'll be making AFTER you finish school, not what you're making now.

Yeah...she took a business law class and a few others at San Diego City Community College. She was previously going for her Master's through SDSU but has since transferred to the University of Redlands to complete her faster than at SDSU. My mom is persuing her MBA.

The only thing you should do is becareful not all colleges will transfer over classes from CC's.

Yeah I would definitely check with the evaluations department of the University I choose first. I learned that lesson the hard way! I have enough credits now for a full bachelors degree, but I JUST earned my AA earlier this year. :depressed :td

Have you tried for a fellowship? Most will fund your thesis and pay you at the same time.
