everytime i put poodle's spot on treatment on him, for a few days, he attacks his rear end and wiggles around on his back like he is infested with fleas there. i've checked and i don't see any on him. does anyone else have a dog that does that? or do you know why maybe?

I would try a different medication, maybe that one is bothering it. I use Frontline Plus for my pup. Especially since fleas and ticks are rampant here.

I would try this. It sounds like a good idea if it bothers his skin.

The vet gave us Advantage and she told us to put it on their back, I put it on the back of their neck, maybe if you put it there too your dog wont be able to chew his skin :dunno
We have cats though, I don't know if Advantage is for dogs too.

They have Advantage for dogs as well and you put it between their shoulder blades.

You can use it with capstar which would take care of the adult fleas.

But right now we dont use anything, i use a natural product...But if these things are bothering your dogs skin its a reaction to something in it...Most poodles do have reactions to these things.

Sentinel is rx tho because of the heartworm meds in it. You've gotta have a clear heartworm test first.

Plus you would know that drs would reccomend a pill for dogs that have allergy symptoms...

There is also Program that does fleas...

http://www.1800petmeds.com/Program+Tablets-prod10018.html if you use it once a month with capstar also you should be ok.
