Ok seriously. I was taking to an army wife today (not affiliated with the boards). She said "Army wives we're all bitches, we're just mean. Coastie wives are wierdos, Air Force wives are snobs, and Navy wives are some of the nicest people I've ever met."

I never knew that each branch had their stereotypes like that - so I was seriously curious if I just missed something or if that's really how it is? Stereotypically I mean.

I think that is a gross generalization of wives in every branch. There are all of those things within every branch. People are bitches, weirdos and nice. I hold no expectations for any SO from any branch. I don't have the time to formulate stereotypes!

There are stereotypes that are often attached to military spouses period. I know some wives refuse to socialize outside their branch and furthermore outside their S/O rank. Those same women tend to attach stereotypes to the various branches spouses. I've heard people make a variety of stereotypical comments about the branches, just depends on who you talk to I guess.

I'm navy...all the wives seem to be pretty nice.

I've heard stereotypes about the branches, like Marines are more "Brotherly" and Airmen are more "Business-like", but the only things about the wives that I've heard is that officer's wives were snobs, which, for the record, I think is bullshit, for the most part, and I think any woman who rubs your nose in her husband's rank is a snob.
