What do you miss the most about your SO when they are deployed or away?


my answer:

his smile
cuddling on the couch
the way he will dirty up my freshly cleaned house in total defiance of what i like (i.e. leave his shoes by the front door instead of in the closet which is 2 feet away)
holding hands
his loud singing in the car and total hatred of my music but total love of Led Zeppelin

there are tons of things but i want to know what you miss.

and bonus: things you definitely don't miss when they are away.

VIDEO GAMES
complaints of "it's too hot, move over"
having to listen to his music when we're in the car together because he hates mine so much

I miss sex.

If i had to pick something i dont miss: his messiness. I actaully see the floor :) :) But, i know i have to love him for his imperfections. :P

-Having to drive my car during the summer ( I don't have a/c in my car :teehee)
-His shooting video games. For some reason when I'm the one playing them it doesn't bother me a bit :teehee

Sharing the twin bed in our room (its temporary....but I love it)
Him sitting on the kitchen counter to "keep me company" while I make him food.
Going for a walk in the fields around our house.
Him cussing at his Tiger Woods game when he misses par....ridiculous.
His death metal music that he insists is not full of subliminal messages even though it makes me feel all aggressive inside. It HAS to have subliminal messages.
Him cussing at the AFN commercials because he misses "real" commercials.
I could go on and on and on.

the way he would stroke my hair when I couldn't sleep.
the way he would hold me as soon as he came home from work.
Seeing him walk through the back door, and taking off his hat.
The way he always said the meals I made him were great even though I knew I putt too much salt again...or under seasoned....
The way he looks like when he is sleep...

I miss him so much...

I miss sex like many ladies! I also miss his brilliant green eyes, his sly smiles, his laughter, holding hands, his teasing, texting, being able to call him when I want to, watching him cook, kisses at stop lights, seeing him next to me when I wake up, showering together, hugging him when I'm having a bad day.

What I don't miss is his rough facial hair that would always scratch my face. :P

I miss pretty much everything. I miss the the "i love yous" that end with a kiss. The "rule" he has that whoever comes home last has to kiss the other hello. I miss the "i miss yous" after only being apart a few hours because of work. I miss the giggling, the talks, his touch, his embrace, everything. I love how when I cook, he does the dishes....WITHOUT FAIL. I love that when he irons his shirt for us to go out to dinner or a movie, he irons mine too. I love that he is so supportive of everything I do. I love that he will do anything with me from kayaking to jogging to going out dancing. I love that he wants to make me as happy as I want to make him. Mos of all I love that he loves me (because I sure do loooooooooove him).

I would have to agree with the sex thing. But i think most of all I just enjoy not being alone. Having him in our bed, doing our everyday thing and knowing when we get home we will be together. But yea... Only about a month left!! Thank GOD!! haha
