We are waiting on hard orders but are supposed to moving to Whiting Field in the fall. I know NOTHING about the area. I will need to know what areas are good to live in. I need info on preschools and then my daughter will also start school while we are there. Can anyone help me?

I don't know anything about the schools, but it's not too far from where I'm at (Hurlburt Field). There's a nice Walmart near the beach in Navarre, several grocery stores, several fast food places. I think the closest commissaries would be either Hurlburt or Eglin AFB. Eglin has got a decent BX, Hurlburt's facilities are on the small side but nice.


ETA: I've never been to Whiting, so I'm not sure what they have on base! ;)
