I left Tuesday to go to Michigan and my roomate said she would take care of my cats...there good cats they don't do anythng really..but Ig uess since I have been gone...they have been pooping everywhere and peeing and one is even puking...Could they be having some anxiety of me being gone? I remember our dog did this when my mom was home for two weeksstraight then she had to go back to work and the first day she went back to work the dog destroyed the house...the vet prescribed pills because she had anxiety issues because mom left to work and she didn't think she was coming back

cats are usually a lot more independent than dogs, but their behavior sounds pretty typical if they aren't used to you being gone. they are leaving their potties in hopes you'll find them & come back to them. my cat did that when i left for college. i would wear an old t shirt that i didn't want and leave it for him when i left to go back to school.

barfing...hmmmm, could they have hairballs? a small glob of vaseline on the nose will help hairballs.

are they otherwise normal & not dehydrated?

my cat just went through that because I left for a week for vacation. She wanted me home.

I agree with the puking and what RC said. I have hairball stuff that is fish flavored that the cat's like to lick, so they don't have hairballs.

Everytime my MIL and FIL go away for the weekend one of their cats will poop in the tub because she is angry that they left. So yes they could be feeling anxiety. Hope they feel better soon!

I would reccomend that you get some hairball stuff from your vet...It comes in some assorted flavors and you should just be able to walk and get some without an appointment...

Just make sure they are eating and drinking.

There always good cats...but since I left Iguess they've been freaking out..the longest I was away from them was when I went into labor wth my daughter I was only gone for 4 days

We had one that would pee everywhere when we went away for more than a day or too. We ended up having to lock her in the kitchen on the tiled floors.
