So i'm enrolled in grad school and online classes start Monday. I'm going through all the information online and wouldn't you know that Microsoft Word is required. And wouldn't you know that I have Vista, that didn't come with Word. :arg Everything I download from them is all screwy because it isn't compatible. Dammit anyway. I love Vista and never have had problems. Until now I suppose. How frustrating!

Any ideas on how big of a chunk of change Word will cost? :dunno I'm gonna Google it right now. Wish me luck!

Is it a class on "Word" or just all the paperwork is being done in word?
Openoffice.org is free, and compatible. All documents can be saved as word docs, and it has all the functionality.
If you absolutly need word, the NEX I know have a special version of office for about $70.
You can always download a trial version for free which will run until you find a cheap copy.

openoffice.org should work, or else I think microsoft office suite(excel, word, outlook, powerpoint) ran around $70 at the exchange when I got it
