If yes, what do you do?

If you know someone who works from home, what do they do?

I do, but only to help a friend back in the states that has her own business. I just pretty much send out mass emails and have created a brochure for them. They only pay me 100/week but it passes the time here since I went to working straight for the past 11 years to doing nothing.. :lol

At least its something, right? I was trying to think of a way to start some sort of cyber secretary service but I think it'd be hard because I don't have a phone or anything hooked up to my internet here....:thinkin

Yes, that's problem #2 for me. He has the car...I don't have one here yet and won't for a few months.

I do :).

I am a writer and editor for a company called militaryresumes.com which is a small subsidiary of Bradley Morris. So all day I write, edit and do quality assurance for resumes of men and women exiting the military :)

I actually found it on Monster.com but I contacted their Director directly, I didn't apply for it through monster. :) I have my BA in history so I need to find some way to use my writing skills. It is just a + that I get to stay home.

You looking for a job where you can work from home?

Yes! But I live in Germany. I have internet but no phone yet.... so I need to find something where its mostly admin/clerical stuff. I do some projects here and there for my mom, but its not stable. It's on an as-needed basis. She's a paralegal. :shrug I'm also applying for civilian jobs on base here, but I don't get spouse preference since I'm not married yet.

my dad does. he heads a department for a student loan company. he should work in the office of the dept that he heads... but that's in austin, tx and when he was getting the job he said he didn't really want to move cuz my sister and i were still in college and living at home during the summers and such. so they said he could work from home. :) pretty sweet deal actually.

Thanks!! I would be SOOOOOOOOOO appreciative of anything you can think of. :D I have a credit card bill that I'd like to pay with my own hard work and not my SO's. It's my desire to keep some of my financial independence from him.

I work from home 3 days a week but will WFH full time when I move out to Cali. I work in clinical research. I would say about half, if not more people at my company WFH.

I def need a job from home as well. We, as well, only have one car. And bills are running us right. And with the upcoming baby, I'm going insane. I'm starting online college in the fall. But MONEY isn't supplied through college lol. Ugh! I've looked online. And can only find the little sites that you do surveys for. They don't pay much at all. It's hard. If you find something, let me know and I'll do the same for you.
I'd use the car on the weekdays and just drop DF off but he's in and out of the hospital and therapy, plus I'm high risk prego and he's going to have surgery soon, so an at home job would be amazing.

It may be virtually impossible to find an administrative position (if you are speaking admin asst) that you can do from home more than one day a week. I telecommute from my job 1-2 xs a week...Have you thought going that route? Getting an in-office job that can be done from home 1-2xs a week?

I own my own business, Lucy's Letters. I also sell Tupperware because I love it. I also host a chat for a wahm's website to help moms start their own Character Letters. I am in the process of starting my own website in order to help Military wives/SO's start their at home business.

I worked from home as an appointment setter for a local supplemental insurance partnership. I was paid for each appointment set with a bonus for every sale resulting from an appointment I set.
I also worked, very briefly, for West At Home taking incoming calls. It was difficult finding hours available at the times I was able to work and I didn't like the "upsell" requirements for the lines they started me on.
There is a webgroup that is all about working at home - it is www.wahm.com - the nice thing is you can find opportunities you may not know exist and hear "real people" reviews of each.

I'd like to work from home too but so far I've not had much luck finding anything out here besides multi-level marketing things... I have a BA in English but have no experience using it so I'm kind of dead in the water.

i've worked at home as a freelance editor off and on for the past few years. it's hard to get enough work, though, so i've mostly had a full-time job too.
