Just curious, because I do BADLY and wake up with headaches sometimes. I know you can get a mouth piece for it, but I haven't yet.. one day.. I'm sure. I have grinded my teeth since I was a child! :no

I use to really bad, but I got a mouthpiece for it and I don't do it any more. DB does BAD sometimes, but only sometimes lol.

I'm more of a clencher :yes...I need to get a new mouthguard made, especially with all the stress that I am dealing with right now

You should be able to get a hard night guard made at not charge since you guys are overseas :D...ask the dentist :yes, and see if they will make it for the bottom teeth instead of the top, easier to get used to and be more compliant about wearing it :yes

I used to do it really bad when I was little. I still do sometimes and then wake up with sore teeth and a headache. DB does it really badly and he has TMJ. It gives me chills to listen to him do it.

every once in a while, my 8 month old grinds his teeth (all 4 of them lol). but doc said it's normal, and that he is probably just trying to get used to his new teeth. i hate when he does it, it drives me nuts!

I use to but now that I have braces,I no longer grind but I did go through a period where I clenched-I don't do that anymore either though. DH grinds & he wears a mouthpiece to help him:yes

Yes I do and I used to wake up with terrible headaches and my jaw would hurt. I got a mouth guard from the dentist and it has helped big time!! Tricare covered half of it so my out of pocket for it was about 150.00

I used to when I was little. The dr told my mom it was a symptom of intestinal worms.

my dentist says that i do. i had no idea. apparently, if you grind your teeth, you develop these bony growths on your bottom jaw & i've got them. i must do it in my sleep. they haven't told me to get a mouth guard yet tho. who knows what'll happen when i get my braces.

Yep, I do although I clench them more than anything. It has gotten a little better as I have gotten older and I am hoping that continues because I can't handle the mouthpieces. I have a really shallow mouth and those things make me gag.

OMG it's Andrea!

I used to. I more just clench really hard now when I'm stressed and sleeping.

Nope. My mom does a lot while she sleeps so she got a mouthguard and it was definitely worth every penny.

i think i do it because my jaws are misaligned now becuse i cant breathe out of my nose.. so i breathe out of my mouth and its screwing up my bite.. so its getting worse.. and stress. eh oh well

eh..those bony growths happen in anyone, grinding/clenching or not :yes
You would see wear on the teeth or ditched areas at the gum line before you could make bone grow from clenching/grinding :yes

Yep. And I wake up with a sore jaw all the time...especially when I'm stressed. But the mouthguard hurts also, so I don't wear mine.

So I should just figure out how to be less stressed. Should be simple, right?

I used to grind when I was a kid and then I was a clencher. My orthodontist (I had braces a few years ago) built up the plastic part on my upper retainer so that my upper and lower teeth couldn't meet, that helped out a bunch :yes.
