is there something comparable to cats as giving a dog benedryl to calm them down?

I think you can give your cat benadryl also but I'm not sure. When I took my cat across the country the vet gave me some medicine for her. We didn't hear a peep out of her the whole time.

I've also been told you can give a cat benedryl. I think you're only supposed to give them 1/2 a pill tho.

I can't remember the name but I bought some treats at Petsmart that were calming! They worked wonders with the kitty we had.

Ask your vet. When Adam and I moved we asked the vet what we could give them to calm them down for the 16 hour drive and they gave us enough medication for all four cats for only about $8.

my grandma's vet would use a pheremone spray to calm her cats down for the ride home. they went from meowing their fool heads off to not a peep.
