ok so df went to guam 2 wks ago and he is stationed there for 2 years. what do i call it? a deployment, a tour? oh another thing for any of those with experience w/ the navy...he is doing 2 years in guam but since its not technically overseas will he most likely have to do another tour overseas? or most likely be stateside?

I personally wouldn't consider that a deployment.
He'll more than likely do a tour after, but no one can make guarantees with the military.

It's a tour, not a deployment. To me, a deployment is when he is in a hostile environment.

that is a tour. Since he stationed there. to me a deployment is temp not his permanent command. most anything not within the 48 states ( plus alaska) is considered overseas.
