Hey umm my marine is in oki. We have known each other for 4 years. But we only dated for 4 months. Then we went back to friends, But now we plan to get together. And i couldnt be more excited, but im also nervous. The whole time we dated he was in oki. Ha has been to IRAq and is going back, but im stresed, is it going to be worse on me now that were together than it was when we were just freinds and he was there? help me out, how do i cope not having him home?

don't worry about it. things may get harder but from my personal experience, being long distance only made us so much stronger. We have been together for 5 years and just today he we have been 5 months long distance and honestly it just gets to show you how strong you can be. I mean don't get me wrong a lot of ppl do break up, do cheat, do loose interest but if you think you are strong enough to get through it than i suggest you go for it

Welcome!!! For me, personally, it's been a lot harder when my bf leaves then when close friends leave. I'm sure you'll do fine!

I'm dealing with the situation where my exDF is in Oki and we're not together right now but we're trying, well i seem to be trying harder, it just seems like things are..different with him..BUT! sorry didnt mean to side track hah..but i'm sure you'll do great just as it was said above me, the distance will make you stronger, you'll build up that connection between you two even if he's not right there next to you :) :hugs
oo and im gonna PM ya!

Just be yourself, that would be my advice. I met my boyfriend online 13 months and because of nearly 12,000 miles between us and 3 deployments we haven't met - our relationship ended after 4 months but I kept in touch and on his return he informed me he never stopped loving me, and we got back together. If anything it's made us stronger, and the distance means we have to have strong communication as it's all we have at the moment. Keep us updated!
