Hey, I just joined here. My boyfriend is coming to visit in a few months and I'm soo nervous because this will be the first time we met in person. And I hope we get to spend some time getting to know each other better because after that he'll be deployed to iraq for almost a year until I can see him again. Sigh. I joined here to see how other military SOS are dealing and maybe help me too.

And I know!! I haven't heard from him in nearly two days. he's at base camp now. I keep thinking if I don't hear from him every day, it means he forgot me. I know this isn't true, but how long does it take to send one text? sigh.

Hi there!! I also met DF online...and he deployed almost exactly one week after our first in person meeting (and we spent almost every one of those days together)...what can I say...he swept me off my feet. We've talked about the big 'M' before he leaves the country (he's already deployed to training)...I wont get to see him again until this time next year....and I miss him like crazy. I'm lucky in that right now we still get to talk a lot comparitively speaking...but I know it wont last...and yes, my heart skips a beat everytime i get a text or a call...and I cant go anywhere without my blackberry incase he tries to contact me.... :) Welcome to our world!!!
