I'm leaving Wed to go on an Alaskan cruise! I'm so excited and really need this vacation after just going through a break up. Alaska is supposed to be really beautiful.

Anyone been?

my husband wants to go on an AK cruise, but they all leave from WA and we dont want to spend more money getting to the ship rather than the cruise itself! We're in CA, so we might just do a mexican tour.

Good luck! Have fun! be save and dont spend too much onboard!! gosh those bite you in the butt... you get your bill slipped to you under your door the last night... SHIT!

Oooh, that sounds fun! I would love to go on one.

You'll have to update us when you get back (if you're still gone right now) and show us pictures.

I've done the inside passage 3 times. And We have gone from vancover to wittner (sp) once. I LOVED them but I would of loved doing a different cruise... but oh well! Free vacation lol

I'm back! Alaska was amazing and beautiful. I will definitely put my pics up in the photo album.

I did a week long Carnival cruise from Whittier to Vancouver. Stopped in Sitka, Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchican. I spend some extra time in Anchorage and Vancouver. It was so fun!

I did 2 really cool excursions. I went zip lining over a temperate rain forest in Ketchickan. Such a thrill. I want to go ziplining everywhere now. In Skagway, we took a helicopter ride and toured the mountain/glacier range and then went to a glacier and went for a dog sled ride.

I am so jealous. Sept is a Disney cruise for the family. Alaska is next for just DH and I.

Ketchikan was actually sunny the day we went there. All the people in town kept talking about how it had been sunny a few days in the row.

It was a cute town and more exciting than some of the others, but still very small and isolated. I'm from the 2nd most densely populated state; I can't imagine living in Alaska.

All the salmon was awesome, though. I tried a reindeer hotdog in Ketchikan. That's were I went zip lining too- at Alaska Canopy. We experienced some "fun" traffic on the way back. They were doing road construction and the line NEVER moved.

Did you live in town or move out in the woods?
