I didn't want to jinx myself so I didn't say anything. Pretty much my boss is retiring and closing the office sometime near the end of September and I was going to be out of a job.
I applied for over 100 jobs in Nor Cal and didn't get very many calls back and the calls I did receive were to tell me that I was over qualified for the positions that I applied for. I then decided to start applying for jobs in L.A. area. I drove down one weekend about a month ago and had 3 interviews. 2 out of the 3 jobs weren't paying enough for anyone to be able to survive in L.A. and the last one was perfect but first I had to come back and meet with one of the senior partners. I was called last week Thursday to come in on Friday, and of course that was impossible, but I was able to fly down Monday for the interview. I found out today that I got the position with the firm and I move down to L.A. the weekend of July 11th. This is so the opportunity of a lifetime!!! :cp I got the job!!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait. Now I just need to make some friends in L.A. :jump4joy
