I can't get Haley to leave the blinds in her room alone. Everyday when I go in there, there are more slats broken off. Has anyone else had this issue and how do you deal with it?

Thought I should add that she is 3 years old.

We don't put horizontal blinds anywhere that can be reached by a kid, because there have been so many cases of them hanging themselves on accident in them. It's just so much safer and I feel better without them.

Maybe you could switch to curtains! That would solve it easily. :)

Ugh I had the same problem w/ Lyric. She totally screwed up the ones on my patio doors. I just keep them pulled up and wrap the cord around the top so she cant get to any of it.

When I was a kid, we had curtains, not blinds...

My kids don't damage them but how about putting a shade in her room instead of blinds?

Can't say that I ever had that problem :dunno Do you have to have blinds? (I have lived in places that required them) If not, I would opt for a shade or curtains in place of the blinds.

I'd put pretty girly curtains over then.

Is her bed near the window or is she doing this standing on the floor. I would put curtains up. She's probably wanting to look out the window or she just likes the sounds they make. Either way it would be safer for her to take them down.

Her bed isn't by the window. She just for some reason chooses she wants to play with them everyday. I know it would be safer to take them down. I do though keep the string wrapped on that little hook up top though so she can't reach it. They are the blinds that the apartment people put here, so whether or not I have to leave them or not, I'm really not sure.

Then she probably just likes the noise. If they were there in the apartment you have to buy new ones r get charged for them to replace them. I would buy a replacement and put it in the cupboard. Then I take down the ones there and put up a tension rod and curtains. Use tiebacks if you need to. Then when she is older (if your there that long) or when you move you can put the blinds back up. But those edges even on plastic can be pretty sharp so I would get them away from her.
