Hey everyone in the area, I'm thinking about planning a softball game sometime this summer and I'm wanting to see how many ladies from the area would be interested in joining? It would be a big get together/BBQ with possibly some games (water balloon catch, etc) for the kids as well and would include ladies and their spouses from here and also personal friends of ours along with some of the guys at his command (and anyone you would want to invite).

I've been wanting to plan something like this for a good long while, years in fact, and decided this is the summer it's going to happen. We'd probably use the fields on Dam Neck where they also have BBQ pits and picnic tables...plus we'd probably bring a few extra grills.

What do you all think?

All right, my Husband is going to spread the word around at work and after that we'll narrow down a date...definitely happening in July though! Once I figure out a date (and a backup date in case of rain) I'll make a flier and send it out to everyone! It'll be a bring a dish and cooler of drinks type of deal and we'll supply cuttlery, chips and bread for burgers and hot dogs.

Oh, I can't catch. For the life of me. I can pick up a grounder, as long as it doesn't pop up and smack me in the face. :lmao I threw a tantrum and quit softball after that in the 8th grade. :P

Depending on how far Austin goes in this weeks all star tournament we may be able to make it. Call me on my cell when you get the details panned out. Let me know if you need anything also.

Whatever happened to the July cookout and softball deal? Last I'd heard was we'd be updated on whether the fields would be reserved and then I didn't see anything else about it.

I really want to do it, but my Husband is being a huge funsucker about the whole thing. Essentially, he says no one from work would want to do such a thing and it would be a bust...not enough people show up at the get togethers here in Virginia to form two teams, especially since a few wouldn't be playing anyway.

I'm still sulking about it and trying to get my Husband to agree to asking the guys at work. I've literally wanted this for years, he knows it, he's just being a big meanyhead. :depressed
