i can get gwen to eat really really well for like...2-3 weeks...then suddenly she doesn't want to eat anymore!! it's been a huge struggle to get her to eat since we got her 10 months ago!
i don't know what to do!
i've tried wet food, tried different brands of food. tried "eating it" first. tried mixing warm water into it. tried pretending to put stuff from out cupboards in it. (that really did work for a while! lol)
but i just can't think of anything less short of getting some crappy food that she'll more than likely eat cause it's full of crap. but i don't wanna feed her crap

Have you tried putting some of the Iams gravy stuff on the food? That might work :D

to me that kinda seems like the same as putting wet food in it, ya know? i've used it before with buddy before we got gwen, and he would just lick the gravy off and leave all the pieces of food. :lol

Emmie does that :lol But lilah.. she actually eats the food right up. My dogs are just VERY light eaters, so once in a while I add gravy to it to get them to eat a little more. The gravy interests Lilah a lot more than the wet food.

Try some cottage cheese...Our howard does this and he will eat when he is hungry, if he had his way we would be changing food every two months.

i thought she would just eat when she's hungry...but she got down to like, 74lbs by doing that. she was THIN.
i think she's got weight issues. :lol when i finally get it up, she doesn't eat. lol

Definitely try adding some healthy extras. Like cottage cheese as Jennygirl suggested, or chopped up plain chicken, or little bits of carrot or apples or rice or cheese. Just things that you probably have in the house anyways, but that will give her some variety so she doesn't get bored.

I would try doing a bland diet on her maybe the dog food doesn't go well with her. :thinking
