Do you know of any romantic getaways or things to do for a weekend for a couple (for an anniversary)?

I googled a bunch of stuff, but thought I'd ask in case someone knew of something I didn't see.

I thought of a bed & breakfast maybe along the OR coast somewhere by a wine country (if OR has that as I know WA does) :shrug

What kinds of things are you looking for? Do you want mountains or do you want ocean?

Oregon coast. Stay in seaside (awesome awesome beach) and travel down to cannon beach (6 miles). Ecola state park is there and parts of the goonies were filmed there. If you keep on going down you come to the tillamook cheese factory which you can tour, sample and buy. There are many scenic turnouts along the way. Db and I did it in jan and I took my cousin when she visited in may.

I reccomend the sandy cove inn in seaside. Its a small locally owned motel, recently remodeled, very nice (and I'm a motel critic) and reasonably priced.

We have stayed here in Leavenworth. So close to all the shops we didn't even need our car to get around town.

He he. Longbeach. Db HAD to drive his car on the beach. Got stuck. Guess who drove it out? Moi. Didn't spend much time in the town tho. It looks pretty small with less to do than seaside.

I've not been to ocean shores but my friends have told me its pricey.

Ooh this reminds me of pacific beach which is down that ways somewheres. Its a military mwr facility. Its been mentioned on sos before.
