I finally got an appointment for Ava's well baby checkup and everything is great. She is 19.6lbs and 30inches long. The one thing that did concern her was that Ava's head appears that it didn't grow hardly at all since her last checkup. Her head has always measured around the 5th percentile. She said that if she seemed to not be picking up on any new language skills or if I notice that she isn't progressing that I should call for another appoinment so that they can do a head circumference. She also said that her fontanel is still open a little, but that that was okay. Afterwards, she told me that everything was okay.
Oh yeah, and She told me that I needed to be giving Ava Nursery water with fluoride instead of regular bottled water. (I had no idea):dunno

What's the deal with the fluoride? I mean other than the obvious teeth thing. I always thought filtered water would have some fluoride in it already.

I've always used tap water for Chey.. however we've always lived in a place with great tap water.. LOL


I'm sorry that they're freaking you out with the head measurement, that'd scare me a bit if they thought that.. Do you think she's not learning appropriately?

At Miss K's last appointment her ped mentioned the fluoride as well. He said that it also helps with the mental development.
