Stop fighting going to bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bailey is always in bed by 8pm. She always goes to bed wonderfully. Never cries. Just lays in there and listens to her music while she falls alseep. Not tonight. I have been trying to get her in the bed since 7:30pm. She is just screaming her head off. And it takes me about 10 minutes to calm her down. So I let her stay up about 30 more minutes hoping she will finally go to sleep.
I dont know what the problem is. She is at the age for seperation anxiety. Maybe its that. :dunno

I look at this way...Ill use me as an example...DS is 8 months old, sometimes he goes right down, other times he doesnt..He hasnt taken a nap nap in two or three days...My DH doesnt understand why some nights he sleeps longer and the others he doesnt...I think its just being him.

If Bailey is thrown off her nap schedule it completely screws up the entire day and night. So i try my hardest to stick to a strict schedule. She is up at 6:30am, morning nap from 8:30am to 10:30am, playing and lunch, nap at 12:30 till 2pm, playing and snack, nap from 4pm to 5pm,dinner,bath,playing,night time bottle, bed by 8. Without fail that is our day if I can possibly work around it.

I know how you feel hun. Since about 3-4 months old Austin settled into the 8pm bedtime. All I had to do is put him in his crib and he fell asleep alone. Then within the past few weeks, he's been needing me to rock him to sleep because I found out his teeth bugged him. At first I did what you did and just put him in bed if he'd cry keep him up 30 min longer and try again to no avail. SO, I finally just started giving him a bottle about 7:30 while he lays with me and we sing and talk, then about 8pm we get in the rocking chair and rock till he's sleeping. Some nights he fights sleeping when I rock but then his other option is bed..I let him know it's bedtime. So, most nights he may fight me 2-3 min then he's calm and asleep within minutes. :) Sometimes they just need that extra cuddle time. :wub That's just a suggestion :)

I thought playing music wasn't good because it over-stimulates or something.

She is cutting those top 2 teeth so that might be bothering her. I am going to try some tylenol tonight if she does the same thing.

Might not be good but she has always gone down with her winnie the pooh crib toy playing music. Its what she is used to.
If the Tylenol doesn't work my Pediatrician said that after 6 months Motrin is more effective for teething and lasts longer.

I have a bottle of motrin and for the life of me I cant get her to swallow those damn pills.
no really for some reason she hates the motrin. I got the berry flavor and she acts like she is gonna puke.

We *just* got off a string of nights like that with Charlotte. Maybe it's a full moon thing? I hear you on the nap schedule making bedtime an unholy nightmare. Daycare is doing their best to make sure we're nice and royally screwed up. :(

Have you tried a fan? DS loves the white noise.

Yes she has a fan in her room. Always has. I am sure its just a stage and she will get over it. We stuck to her schedule today so hopefully tonight will be better.
