I just checked my voicemail and had message from a restaurant that I put in an application for over a month ago.

Probably about a good month and a half ago.

It's this place called "Melange", and it's a really high end, pricey restaurant, that I would make really good tips at.

But, I LOVE my job at Pottery Barn Kids. I mean I absolutely do not want to give it up, and they give me plenty of hours and I make enough money.

I would love the extra money from waitressing at Melange. But, I'm not sure if I should take the job. I'm going to be starting school back up in September, and I'll be doing work study and taking honors courses. :dunno

I don't think I could handle 2 jobs and going to school full-time with a work study job. :dunno I don't think I could physically do it and devout enough time to my studies. What do you guys think?

Hmm.. tough call. You could call them back, explaining the situation and see how many hours they're looking to fill? Maybe by doing that, if for some reason it doesn't work out now, it could in the future? That's just my two cents. :D

I would work the job that paid the most during college, to avoid as much school debt as possible, and look for the job I LOVE upon graduation. It's not like the serving job would suck, right? I really loved serving and bartending and made a freaking ton of money too! :woot

Good luck with your decision!

I know! I would love to serve and get that money. But my managers at PBK are just so awesome. They are so understanding with hours and what not.

Such a tough decision! lol

I think I would stay at pottery barn....it seems like your going to have a lot on your plate anyway with school and you already know you love this job so no matter what happens with school you'll still have that piece of joy in your job :) Also waitressing jobs can end up being really stressful and you never know what the work atmosphere will be like there

i'd say stay with pottery barn. you don't wanna be too swamped with school.
