Is there anything going on on base for families tomorrow? And are they going to have a place for people to go and watch the fireworks over the water? :)

not totally sure about activities, but that is usually where we go to watch the fireworks. My dh said if you are wanting to go there to watch fireworks you can just go and park on base (at North Island) near the water. He said you can see fireworks from a few different places. Be warned though...after the fireworks it can take quite a while to get out of there and off the island all together. We didn't go last year, but the year before that it took an hour and a half to get off the island and across the bridge :lol

ASW base in Point Loma has the Freedom Festival. It starts at 3 and the fireworks are at 9. http://www.mwrtoday.com/Sandiego/MWRTW1r.pdf

:giggle That's what I was thinking, I figured if nothing else we can just go park somewhere to see them. I have a feeling Cam would be watching from inside the car anyway. I'll make sure we've got enough gas in the tank if we go that route, thanks for the heads up! :yes

We watched from Pt Loma last year, and it took us 3 hours to get from Pt Loma to Serra Mesa. The traffic was unbelievable.
