does anyone else live in pensacola? or is your SO in pensacola?
just wondering cause that's where i am.
lived here pretty much all my life.
however, i'll be moving to hawaii before too long.
i'm definitely gonna miss pcola..

I have family here so I used to spend summers here as a kid (my family owns the Coach-N-Four in P'cola and Ft. Walton Bch). Also, DH went to A-school here. I actually flew out here while he was in A-school and we got married here. We always thought it was pretty nice here and couldn't wait to come back.

But since the hurricane, it's definitely not the same. It's a lot more ghetto than we remembered (or than it was before). I have a friend who is a P'cola native and came back for her 10 year HS reunion a couple weeks ago-she had the same feelings as me.

My DF is there, well at Eglin AFB in thr Destin/ Ft Walton beach area.

yeah the hurricanes hit us pretty hard. but we've come a lot way since then.

I wish I was in Pensacola (visited there before. LOVED it) or Hawaii.. LOL

hey ladies, I just moved to Pensacola about 2 weeks ago! I'm about 5 mins outside the front gate of NAS! My marine and I are here until October 14!

I've been living in Pensacola now for about a year and a half... im originally from the midwest, so Im loving it! Im crossing my fingers there wont be any hurricanes this summer!

My DB is in Pensacola...I visited for a weekend in June..and I thought it was absolutely beautiful!! I wouldn't mind him being stationed there :)

I went to school in Pensacola and hated every moment of it. But I know how hard it is to leave home. Hope things work out for you :) I'd personally much rather be in Hawaii hehe

We are supposed to be moving by Pesacola in Oct (actually Whiting Field). I can't wait to get out of Norfolk but am worried about hurricanes as well since we were living in New Orleans during Katrina. Other than that I am looking forward to the move.

WE moved from there in Jan to Guam. We were stationed there for 3 years and we liked it because we were really close to our families. I miss it. Dh was a water survival instructor while he was there.

My boyfriend will be in Pensacola as of next week. What is it like there? Do you know what major airport is near Pensacola? I'd rather take a non-stop flight in, but all flights into Pensacola have stops!

Heck yes... I am a sorry victim of being drug to Sevilles on "kids and squids" night! We used to go to Navarre beach instead of Gulf Beach and I am a proud karaoke singer of Boomer's, the hick bar right outside of Corry Station!!

I miss it there!

Gulf beaches are sooooo much better than the Atlantic side!! And warmer too.
