View Full Version : Your favorite diaper bag?
Brandi 07-04-2008, 11:09 AM I've gone through several diaper bags between the three kiddos... I've mostly gotten the cheapy ones from walmart or just a generic type duffel style (over the shoulder) one from babiesrus.
I'm wanting to buy a new one before Chase arrives and I'm curious to know which type has been your favorite!
I'm looking on ebay now and there are SOOOOOOO many to choose from. I'm torn between keeping a duffel/purse style or maybe trying one of the back pack types.
Can you link me to one you've had or have and have really liked?
Look at how many to choose from! :eek

I'd like to not spend more than about $50 though. And I need something that will fit enough crap for 2-3 kids since I carry a change of clothes for both Shelby and Hunter already and will need a change for Chase. Plus snacks, a sippy cup, a bottle, etc.
Not HUGE, but something practical for our crap that we have to carry with us. I obviously can't use something small, purse sized. :)
Angie 07-04-2008, 11:17 AM This is the one I have and I love it

Jordan 07-04-2008, 11:48 AM we bought the Jeep one from Wal-mart.. it was HUGE! I was that new mommy that thought I needed four days worth of stuff just to go to the grocery store, so no diaper bag was big enough. It would be perfect for multiple children though.

When I worked as a nanny right out of high school I LOVED this. You can carry clothes and use the mp3 holder to put a bottle right at your finger tips.
Aunt Sponge 07-04-2008, 05:16 PM I hate traditional diaper bags - and traditional purses. But I HAVE to always have one and I'm picky!I want everything washable, easy access, and around my neck and out of my way. LOL
I suffered with classic whatnots for years, hated all of them - Then one day at Target I saw a messenger bag in the men's depart and used it for YEARS and LOVED the hell out of it until it just fell all apart.
It was a big version of this and had an eagle on it - was a smooth canvas....

It was great - The big pocket was ideal for a few diapers, wipes, bottles and cups and the back pocket was great for my small wallet/purse that I could carry with me seperately if I didn't have the kids (blue moon occurance). AND because it was slender it could easily fit in the car, truck, stroller, etc, without being in the way and massive. When it got wet I just emptied it and chunked it in the wash.
This one made by Columbia is what I have and LOVE! Inside pockets are great, insulated bottle pocket too... it's a great all around bag! http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2748983
They also have it in Red I just saw...

msemmaleahx3 07-04-2008, 09:08 PM we bought the Jeep one from Wal-mart.. it was HUGE! I was that new mommy that thought I needed four days worth of stuff just to go to the grocery store, so no diaper bag was big enough. It would be perfect for multiple children though.
I bought that before I was preggo, and used it as my carry on and stuff. I still have it, so I'm using it as the diaper bag now. Doesn't hurt that DF LOVES anything Jeep.

Pink Jeep diaper bag. I loved it but it had a couple drawbacks. It was bulky when full of supplies and it got dirty really easily. I switched to a smaller scaled Carter's one but it's starting to wear and tear.
The next one I get will either be completely washable or made of a water/stain resistant fabric.
Kaymara 07-05-2008, 10:28 AM The columbia backpack from babies r us. I use that thing everywhere! Disneyland, seaworld, mall etc. I ADORE it (the one Becca bought for me at the babyshoer you threw for me)
Caimbrie 07-05-2008, 10:44 AM I haven't used mine yet, but it's really roomy, but not TOO huge.

aubrey 07-05-2008, 10:58 AM With one kid, I really loved my Skip Hop Duo. IMO, it's not big enough for more than one kid. I try to fit everything for my two kids in there and it's crammed. Skip Hop has a diaper bag called Dash, I think it's bigger. Here is Skip Hop's website: http://www.skiphop.com/
