Are allergies genetic?

DH and I don't have any allergies, just wondering if our kids may.

I know that some allergies are genetic. More like the hay fever stuff. Not so much food allergies but anything is possible.

With our child, they told us to watch with nuts and milk if it ran in the family.

Some are.. like food allergies. Or the child will just have a higher chance of having the allergy b/c mom or dad has it.

they can be. it just really depends. there are tons of factors that play into allergies.
