So this is probably going to be the first of many dozens of questions over the next few months...
Question #1:
When my BF gets back from deployment, he'll be moving out of battalion and into Public Works. He keeps telling me that it's going to be a ton less stressful and that it'll be like having a normal job. No more phonecalls in the middle of the night, no more being sent off to places unknown without warning, no more being responsible for lots of crazy kids, and actual, real weekends off to spend time together...
This sounds far too good to be true. So what's the deal with Public Works? Is it really like having a civilian job/schedule? Or is he just trying to keep things optimistic?
