So, I was thinking about getting a home waxing kit for my legs, lips, and bikini area. Have any of you done this? Was it a good experience? Or is it better left to professionals??

Lips and eyebrows can be done at home, but I prefer to get them done when I get my nails done. I don't have to clean up squat...LOL!!! As far as the other waxing goes, I'd rather shave my legs than wax them. Also, I'd rather laser or Magic Cream my brazilian area than to have it waxed! :refuse

I tried magic cream and it didn't do squat. Maybe I didn't use enough? How much should I use? How thick of a layer? :confused

what if you do not have any professionals around where you live? isn't there anything for us who are sick of shaving to do?

I would be willing to do my legs & lips but no way in hell would I do my bikini area. I would seriously travel hours away to a professional to do my girly parts if there wasn't anyone near me!

I've done some at home waxing before, but it never worked for me.

Well, it's easy enough to do your lips and bikini and underarms... Legs are a lot of area, so that's kinda rough.

But... umm... it hurts a lot more when you do it yourself, so be prepared. You just have to realize that it's on and it has to come off. :dunno

I dont know of anyone that can do their own bikini line. but eyebrows and stuff you can do at home.

I had my mom do it for me because I couldn't :giggle it really wasn't that bad. I used the Nads rather than hot wax-not sure how hot wax is.

I use the home waxing kit called Poetic Wax and I find it hurts less then going to a pro...But I do drink a shot or two of Vodka before hand so i dont feel the pain..I am such a baby.....but i am able to do everything, leg, cooch, lip and brows..So it works!

Oh I really make it think and leave it on for the recommended time. What did you use to scrape the hair off with?!? I use like an old grocery store's discount card or a butterknife that doesn't get put back to use. :P

I use home waxing kits for my eye brows and my lip. I recommend the Surgi-Wax microwave wax kit because its easier to control where it is applied. I've heard horror stories about bikini lines. I used an epliator machine but that hurt so bad!

Short-term pain that is absolutely worth the cost? Laser hair removal!! That's my permanent solution to my um....girlie parts.

i tried on my legs once, with the ones you rub together to make them warm, i do not suggest it! lol. i say professionals, unless you really know what your doing, & if you do get a hot wax kit, not ones you rub together,lol.

I've tried that magic cream too :( it didn't do squat for me.. i layered it thick and left it on longer than i should have.. that is so irritating to not have anything work on un-wanted hair

I do my lip at home, but anything else, someone else would have to do. I think I could maybe do my legs too if I knew how :lol

definitely professionals! i tried waxing my bikini area on my own once and it was probably the most physically painful experience of my life... now i get it done professionally so i can blame someone else when it hurts!

Pros always do a better job. The stuff you buy isn't as strong. I just tried to do my brows and it wouldn't pull all the hair out. Good luck either way though!
