I am so happy for you! MaggieMae 07-08-2008, 09:38 PM It's not the most romantic story... basically we have talked about getting married for a while and we wanted to elope. I told him I wouldn't go through with it unless he asked my dad, so June 22nd (the day before my parent's 34th wedding anniversary) he called. Mom, who has always had this sixth sense about everything, called me to make sure we weren't going to elope. haha. So after everyone in my family calling to talk me out of it, friends sending me books and magazines, and my two best friends driving to see me last weekend to take me wedding dress shopping - they finally convinced me not to elope. haha, it was a group effort. So we are planning a December wedding in Kansas City, MO (closest to both of our families), but it is going to be stressful planning an out of state wedding. The first pic is my engagement ring and the second is the whole set (or vice versa). DF knows how much I still want the whole "down on one knee" thing, so he has something special planned when he gets home from work-ups.
