Ok so as yall might know the new job SUCKS!

Well Andrew flipped his shit over me quitting Wal-Mart without getting another gig first (and rightfully so) so I swore to him I wouldn't do that again without significant money in the bank. We have bills and that was really irresponsible of me. (I felt bad about it but I was putting one whole check in my gas tank every month. Not to mention I was in the middle of a nervous breakdown. :no)

I really wanted to quit but I made a promise and I felt horrible about it. Andrew and I talked and he said, "This is one promise you don't have to keep. I worry about your health as it is and you don't need a job where you don't get lunch. Legal or not, that's some bullshit."

So I'm quitting. I'm trusting the Universe is going to provide a way and I'm going to look that much harder. I put out lots of applications today.

Well in VA if you're on the clock for 6 hours or plus, you're due a 30 minute lunch break.

9a-3p is exactly 6 hours. Between getting on the phone and off the phone they manage to shave off a few minutes so it's not the full six.

:yes exactly!! excellllent point!

I refuse to work from 10-6 at my work cause they won't give me a break cause they need me to help work through breaks! so I work from 11-6, still hard but it's a little easier.
I would be right alone with you quiting my job if I wasn't moving in 4 months.
I would report them all the same!

You better be able to wolf it down in 10 minutes or less. Because if legally all they owe you is a 10 minute break and that's all you get.
