I should state it should, but sometimes landlords are dicks best double check with Jag MelissaMc424 07-09-2008, 03:29 PM Are you moving back home or into housing? I'd think that if you showed the landlord his orders with the deployment date it might work, if you're moving away for the duration of the deployment. Rileysmom 07-09-2008, 03:35 PM Well we are actually thinking of buying before or right after he leaves, so if we find a home, we would try to get out of our lease using his IA. The owner of this home is in the Marines, so I think he would be undertanding, however, it's RUN by a Property Management company. I need to talk to Navy Legal anyways about getting current POA so I will ask them. Thanks!!! SIMMYBABEZ 07-09-2008, 03:36 PM If you have orders to pcs or deploy, you can get out of it. Most landlords are really nice about it here, and you don't hear any whining. We did it last year, just went up to them, told em we were moving out in 3 weeks and this is why *showed orders* Kris 07-09-2008, 03:38 PM Yes as long as you have documentation that he is going to be gone than you should be able to break the lease |
