My wife bought her new car yesterday. A white 2006 Toyota Matirx. Its her first real "going to the dealership, getting financed, etc" buying a car experience.

She called me several times over the last few days to get my input and help her out through the process, which made me feel needed! :D

I offered to call the salesman and run through everything with him and she appreciated it and was excited for me to do it. I got them to knock $700 off the price! She was happy and said I was her hero and best friend! She also told me she loved me a few times. :D

She decided she was going to buy the car and I asked her if she could wait until the next day so I could call in a listen on speaker phone so I could "be there" for her first car purchase, and she said she wouldn't mind.

So we did that and she signed the papers and I was so proud of her, which of course I told her.

I had an arrangement of white daisies sent to the apt with a card that said, "Congratulations! White daisies to celebrate your new white car. I am so proud of you! Love, Joshua"

This morning I had an email from her saying, "Thank you so much for my daisies! You're always so good to me!"

I'm not reading into anything until I get home and see where we are at, but things could definately be going worse, so I can't complain too much.

She wouldn't explain that darn "Devil's Marmalade" thing though...UGH!

I'll do that for you if you agree to go shake the doubt out of my wife's head and teach her how to stay strong and confident in us.

Thanks everybody.

I am not getting too excited or reading too much into things. There is still an uncertainty I get from her ALOT of the time. I am just happy that we are communicating on any level and that she initiates some of the conversations and that she is going to see a counselor today. I hope she makes a 2nd appointment but she kinda plans on heading out to Mass to visit her best gf until I come home for leave...meaning counseling would stop!!! UGH!!!

I am nervous and excited to get home to hold her close to me and see what affect it has. I feel like I am in the middle of setting up a huge pattern of dominos and trying not to knock them down and ruin a beautiful outcome.

Day by day until the days end.

Just hang in there. The fact that you guys are communicating is huge. It's when the communication breaks down that there a problem. You guys will be fine.

That I do. I have never been able to love a woman the way I love my wife. I started to think I couldn't, then I met her and finally... I was so excited because I finally felt like I had become the man I always wanted to be.

This is sappy enough to make syrup.

We used to make that same comment to each other all the time. Just could not believe that our relationship was as good as it was. We kept waiting to find out the other was a convicted felon or something, lol.

Hopefully she just needs a reminder.

I have been avoiding "our" songs and sad sappy songs because I know I will lose it BIGTIME if I hear them. Had to rearrange my workout playlist on my iPod .
