ok so while he's on r&r is he allowed to leave the country? He wants us to go on a cruise for part of his r&r but i was just wondering if he was allowed to leave the u.s.a.

I am almost positive he can wherever he wants the only problem with a cruise is the dates are never set in stone so it might be hard to book. :dunno Enjoy your R&R!!

Yeah i know thats the only shitty thing, but thanks for letting me know he can leave!! it suck cause r&r wont be for awhile. So for right now i can only dream

I just wanted to add--he DOES have to notify his command where he is going on the cruise (location) and provide contact info where he can be reached.

yup! but he is allowed to go where he chooses

as long as his command knows where he is, he can go anywhere he chooses (shoot, if you wanted to meet in Alaska, they'd fly him there instead of home!)
