of course with his money.

Evidently he isn't coming home like he'd planned before we move...so we are just going to do it this way. Since he promised me I'd be engaged before the move....he said he didn't want to go back on that.

If anyone stumbles across an interesting ring that looks engagement-y without being a diamond. Send it my way.

Eh, I picked out my ring. I'm glad I did or else he would have gotten me some horrendous cut!

Yeah I'm sure the same thing would have happened for me...since I hate basically every ring I look at.

Kay Jewelers has those "right hand rings" Those are often very perty, looking engagement-y and there's a bunch of different kinds. Some of them I would like to see for even my own engagement/wedding ring :) Just thought I'd throw it out there!

I bought my ring with his money :)
I'd already gotten a "fill in" until he could get the "real one" though.

Basically, I found rings in our price range and described them to him and he picked. He CHOSE the one diamond one because it is more traditional, but they were sold out when I clicked 'buy' so instead he chose the one I do have which is three diamonds.

Yeah I think I am going to go with a right hand ring because everytime I say I want an engagement ring that isn't a diamond. Everyone looks at me like I have seven heads.

Since you don't want a diamond, what's your favorite color? And price range? I love looking at jewelry, and generally have good taste :)

Honestly I keep changing my mind I originally wanted a sapphire. We met in September and we are getting married in Sept. So I figured it was fitting. But I still haven't found anything that I like all that much and the things I do like only cost like 200 dollars. lol.

Hahaha! People just don't understand. There is nothing wrong with selecting and getting your own! I think they have some real nice ones! At least you got that far...I got screwed out of an engagement due to bad-timing and his poor planning. Instead, he got me a huge ring that looks like a class ring that says "Marine Corps" with Iwo Jima on one side and Semper Fi on the other with his name scripted inside. It's not a cute little diamond ring but it'll do! And he never really proposed either...just tossed the box at me and said.."This is for you" However, we're getting married this year...um...sometime. Who needs fancy proposals and stuff anyway! I just know that if I have to punch someone, this ring will dent a forehead! :)

meh price is no biggie at all, if you love it you love it. especially if you were to lose it or want t a new one its not liek thousands of dollars down the tube or anything

We didn't get the Tiffany's ring, but my ring looks like the Tiffany signature cut.Like the other ladies have said, I've hear BlueNile is good.

Well red is my favorite color but I don't want a ruby. I'm thinking something bluish. Umm price range is kind of more an issue. He says he doesn't want to buy a ring for me that cost less than his laptop so I guess around 1000?

We are getting married in Sept. haha so I am probably going to keep whatever I get. Thanks for sending me this website it's one I haven't seen before. I don't actually care how much it costs. As long as he thinks it doesn't look like a "promise ring" it should be fine.

Haha that's a great idea. I should totally do that.

My gay best friend thinks he should do the proposal in Mike's honor. Like I need to make my fag hag status any higher. hehe.

I'm not really a fan of diamonds. Although I will admit after looking at a lot of the older stuff I think I could find a diamond ring that I loved as long as it was interesting enough.
