ok guys well if me and my df are planning a wedding but we want to get married an the courthouse before hand cuz the actual wedding is gong to be quick and we wil have to leave the day after so ther is gogn to be no time aftre to do all the paperwork and stuff before we move down to gordon anyway we are looking to get married before has anyone done that what do you do differently and what do u tell the minister? im just looking for some info and what you have to do thankyou so much sorry its kinda scattered i only have like two minuites

u should definately prolly tell the minister cause this way u dont have to sign anything at the second wedding...it will just be a ceremony.

We had a JOP wedding before he left for basic and are going to have a big to-do wedding on our 3 or 5 years anniversary.. not sure which one yet! You just tell the minister that you are already legally married!

talk to your minister. we did it and we had to get approval from the dicoese

Yea def talk to your minister first. Me and my husband got married by the jp. Just the same as usual go get ur marriage license and just go to the info desk with your license to tell them ur there to get married and they will tell u where to go from there. You just basically wait ur turn or until the jp is ready. Say your vows. You have a choice of traditional with a scripture from the bibel or just plain o vows. Good Luck!

DF and i doing that as well and i think you just have to tell your minister that your already legally married and just want to have a ceremony or you could do it like a renewal of vows .
