I got my ring!
If I could figure out a way to take a picture of it where you could actually see what it looks like I would but every time I take the picture it just looks like a big sparkley blob.
I ended up getting a diamond haha even after I made such a big deal about not wanting one. It's an antique from the 20's and it's pretty much my favorite thing ever.

:yay congrats!! is there a macro setting on your camera? or could you show us a pic from a site? i really want to see it haha ;)

use the macro setting and no flash in a lit area.. that is usually what works for me :)

I didn't get it from a site I got it from a store. I tried the macro. I think it's just because of the setting. Everything just looks shiny even without flash.

The macro setting is the one with a M right? I don't really know a lot about cameras.

Awww thanks guys. I still haven't been able to take a picture that even closely does it justice or shows it but my sister is sending me one she took which looks I think the best :)

I still have yet to master the art of taking a picture of the ring.
This is sadly the best one I have and it looks NOTHING like my ring.
