We got a statement today from DS's surgery... $5175.31 :omg
Thanks to Tricare Prime, we are totally 100% covered and don't have to pay a thing.
Oh I should add, that doesn't even include doctors fees

ahh yes. insurance is a good thing. i remember my last er visit for stepping on a sewing needle, of all things. i figured i should go in & get antibiotics just in case. well, something like $1200 later, i was glad i had blue cross blue shield!

Yup, when something goes wrong and you see the bills. They do make you happy. Danica's total bills were 1.5 million, not one penny from us.

Yep, dd brings a totally new meaning to the phrase "million dollar baby!" Every month when I get our EOBs I am very thankful for Tricare. Even small copays add up quickly when you have to pay them all the time. So, while there are definitely times that I'm get frustrated with Tricare, it is good insurance.
