I don't want to be a thread stealer, but I am looking into credit things too... I am an estimated 15,000-20,000 in debt with credit cards....It sounds bad, and I take full responsibility for it, but I got a financial bind from my last roommate and instead of paying credit cards, I paid rent and food and gas... So now I am 9 months behind. IF consolidations isn't good, what would be the best way to get out of debt....?

See if there are any local budgeting and finance classes in your area. Sometimes community centers and even the military base has them for civilians.

No consolidation or anything is good... I don't make enough to cover all of my cards... any other suggestions?

Call your credit card companies and ask them what they can do to help you. They'll often lower your interest rates or work things around to help you pay them off.

could you do a debt consolidation loan instead of going though the debt services?

Pretty much, consolidation companies negotiate and handle the payments for you. You can try call the companies and explain the situation and see how they can help you by maybe lowering the APR or something. :goodluck

I was thinking about this, but would I be able to with bad credit without a co-signer?

Nothing you can't do yourself. Cut up all your credit cards. Find out exactly how much you owe.
Prepare a budget to figure out how much you can afford to pay each month. That means, for a few months, no movies, no eating out, etc etc.
Call each of the credit cards and explain your position to them. They would rather take a small loss and reduce your interest, then have you declare bankruptcy and default and get nothing.. Write down everything you to talk to about each one.
I am guessing you work. Each paycheck, send a payment into the cards, or do it through your bank. The more often you pay, even smaller amounts, the quicker the debt goes down.

Are you able to take on a second job for a few months or so? bartending or something?

go to the library and online and read everything you can by Suze Ormon.

No matter what you do, be prepared for your credit to be screwed for the next 5-7 years. Then
