:hi We just became landlords. Fortunately we live right around the corner from the house.

Our friends are.

we were planning on getting out so we bought a house when dh was on recruiting duty. But then he made E-6 so we stayed in, but did not want to sell the house even though we would be two states away. so I am (we) are landlords.

We rented our house after we moved. Rented it for 10 years, and made a huge profit at the sale...

I guess we were landlords, but we had a Management company do it all for us. All we had to do was sign a contract and let them keep 10% of the rent money. The house paid for itself, and we had NO headaches... Best move we ever made!

Oh my

YEP we are landlords. But we rented to our friends who are also a Coast Guard so I don't know anything about renting to the "general public". We did not go through a Management Company but did the lease through software we got at Office Depot. We also have a home warranty and anything in the house is covered for only a $50 deductible.
