If you've cut your hair shorter (shoulder and above), did you regret it or no?

I think about it all the time but everyone says they like my hair long. Big chicken right here. Getting bangs cut was a WHOA. :lol

You won't regret so long as you get a cut you love, and I know you well enough to know you will go to the best salon around...so I don't think you have much to worry about :hugs

I've done it twice. The first time I my hair was halfway down my back and I was sick of straightening, so I got it in a bob. I regreted that big time. I just did it again recently and this time I love it! I went short, but not as short as the first time and I'm so glad I did.

no. i cut about 8 inches off and i love it. it was long for way too long; i was only growing out for the wedding. but i just got it cut again yesterday and i told myself its time to start slowing growing it back out some. just to my shoulders or a little below. it a good change.

I've kept my hair above my shoulders for years. :giggle Every so often I want to grow it out again but then I change my mind and cut it. Most of the time I like it short but I'm too lazy to fix it up to make it look nice so I always need wash and wear hair. I'd LOVE to cut mine like Loretta's but I really don't think it will look good with the size and shape of my head and I doubt my DH would like it. :teehee Plus it looks like a cut you have to style and I wont do it. :shrug I think for you if you're thinking about it maybe slowly work your way shorter. :)

I chose other. I really like my hair cut short like it is now, but looking back on my old pictures....I really miss my long hair!

haha right now my hair is half way down my back but i've had it up to my chin before. i'm blessed with bone structure that i can have it long or short & It look good, but i prefer it to be longer, but i am planning on cutting it again, just never that short,lol. prob right below my shoulders.

I pretty much cut all my hair because I decided that I wanted to look like a cartoon character :screwy... did I regret it? HELL YEA I did...the lady who cut it made me look like a boy. Luckily my hair is grown out :)

I have cut it off a couple of times (one memorable time in high school I chopped about 10 inches off) and I regretted it because I have a huge round face that doesn't look good with short hair. I don't even do bangs anymore :lol.

I just got mine cut above the shoulder and I love it! Its fun for summer!

I go from phases of loving longer hair to despising it, in the end I love keeping my hair shorter ie currently i have my hair just below jaw length and i loves it!

I like my long hair. It has taken me about 4 years to get it to its current length and I ain't letting it go. :lol

I didn't regret it this time. With the constant humidity here I could never do anything with my hair at all... so I chopped it SHORT so at least now I can style it and go out without wearing a hat.

Yes and No twice I have had stylists screw up my hair so bad it made me cry. One of those times it was so bad I went some where else to fix it. In the end thuogh I like trying crazy new styles because it is hair it will grow back. Mine grows fast too so it is never bad for that long. I never go to places like super cuts though 9anymore) I pay the money and go someplace higher end.

I used to have below the shoulders hair and honestly half the time I'd end up in a ponytail or pulled back somehow........I was SO tired of doing that. I mean what was the point of having long hair if I was going to keep pulling it back?

I cut it into that short trendy bob everyone else has right now and have had it at that style or a variation of it since November 2007 and LOVE it.....I have to do it and it always looks put together.......making ME feel better.

Nope. you know how much I love mine.

omg i would freak out every year! for wrestling season i would cut my hair short and donate it to locks of love........and EVERY time i was soo sad i couldnt do anything with my hair when i wanted to get all cute.......but it was very convenient and fast to do for practice, and gettin ready really quick

the worst part is the middle stage when your growing it out....its not long enough to do anything but its not short enough either

i loved it short!!! but you can't do much from there, so i have been working on growing it out for ever now! i get bored and hack it all off again. i really hate the grow out process. and i soooo miss my ponytail!!!

I cut my hair about 2 years ago and donated to Locks of Love... they had to separate my hair into 3 ponytails and cut the middle one right against my head to get the required length, but in the end it looked really cute (perspective... to get it the same cut again, I had to have the back of my head basically buzzed short...)

I've had my hair short since 2004. Right now it's about 2 inches long. I've never regretted it, although I'm growing it out now. I like to change my hair often and I usually just dye it a different color but this time I decided to grow it out. It's looking pretty funky right now because its at a weird phase. :screwy

i had hair down to my butt for years, i cut it short in college and loved it. i go long in summer, and short in winter.

I used to have insanely long hair (Crystal Gayle wanna be) and then I just got bored one day and went very very short. I LOVED it. LOVED it. I could spike it, and mess with it, and still be feminine. I did have some issues being mistaken for a boy, but that happens regardless of my hair length... :lol

I am growing it out a bit now, and have been for a while, but I think soon I am going to go back to short short. No regrets.

I know men LOVE long hair, most of the time... but if they were to grow their hair out to the lengths that most women do, and have to take care of it, and be hot and sticky and blah... I think they would realize it's not all that wonderfully functional. :lol I converted my DB by using that rationale. :lol

Great now you have me wanting to cut my hair short again. :giggle Now to pick a cut and hope DH likes it or at least gets used to it. :P

there have been a few times I have regretted it.. But this last time I didn't. I was ready for a change so I cut about 17 inches off my hair and almost a year later I have kept it short.. Just easier for me right now

I've cut it a few times and REALLY regretted it every time. But a lot has to do with the fact that my husband loves the long hair so I think that plays a part in how I feel about it also.

I loved my hair short. I cut it about 1 inch long and would do it again in a heartbeat. I felt sassy and sexy and DIFFERENT.

I got a TON of compliments.

I did it because my hair was dyed and I wanted to donate. I was going to cut it all off anyway, so even though I couldn't donate the dyed hair, I decided to just cut it off and start fresh. once my hair is long enough, I am donating... although Andrew doesn't want it as short again. He likes to play with my hair.

i chose other. when i cut my hair short i really liked it at first, but then i get SO impatient waiting for it to grow out. i wish we could just go "poof" and style/color/cut/grow hair instantaneously.
