I wrote a check out to my wedding officiant for a deposit to hold our wedding date. I wrote the check OVER a month ago and it's still not showing up on my bank statements that they deposited my check. I called the company that we are getting the officiant from and they had all my info and said they would look into it and give me a call back.

What would be some reasons as to why they hadn't deposited the check yet if they got it????? Should I be concerned or suspicious??? Any advice?!?!

Were they able to give you ANY information such as confirming that they do have you booked for that date? Did they say if they had received but just not deposited the check yet or have no information at all?
If they show you as booked - not too concerning. If they show they received but just haven't deposited the check - not too concerning. Otherwise - I'd be nervous at least.

Yeah, they said they received it and had my contracts that I signed.

OP - don't worry about it ,just call to verify that you're still on the calendar!
It's traditional and respectful for some to put off processing until after the ceremony is held and all is well.
