My camera crapped out on me a while ago, to be expected because it was older than dirt. Sooooooooo can anyone recommend one that is around $200 and still decent? I don't want to save up to buy one and I'm only authorized $200 for frivolous spending for the rest of the month. :mrgreen

I bought a cyber shot a few years back. It was on sale for like $130. Its great. I have never had any problems with it and I looove it! Good luck!

sony cybershots are pretty good...i bought DB one for his birthday.
I really like the Nikon Coolpix S550...i think thats going to be my next camera. I've heard bad things about Kodak Easyshares...my mom has one and its horrible.

i (L) both my kodak easyshares. I think it just depends.
I would suggest going to best buy and playing around with them that way you can see ease of use, if you like how it is then maybe look on the web to see if there are deals for the camera you like. Some sites have refurbs for way less then the retail.

Nikon Coolpix S550 Plum 10 MP is an amazing camera. my dh got it for me for mothers day. its about $220 at walmart. but its worth every penny.

i bought myself a panasonic 8.1 megapixel lumix digital camera for 150 at walmart. i fell in love with it but then it was stolen by my husband to take on deployment. everything i love is on that friggin ship except my cats.


seriously lumix is a good brand. they have intelligent features for easier picture taking.

I have a Kodak Easy Share Z712 IS and LOVE it. It takes really good pictures and I have not had any problems with it at all
