So I guess we're like #46 on the Murphy Canyon wait list. :neutral

I don't really know exactly how that happened, as my husband's been dealing with all of the housing nonsense. But Chesterton supposedly has like a 15 month wait for a 4 bedroom. So, that's a definite no go.

I'm just really dreading sharing walls again and possibly having a crappy ass backyard if we get stuck in some 4plex in murphy canyon.

And apparently the wait list for 5 bedrooms there is also like 15+ months. So, they have us down for a 4 bedroom.

I have no idea which area we'll be in, I guess it doesn't really matter all that much since they all seem just about the same to me.

At least if we get out there and are miserable in the unit they give us, we can be looking for a house to buy and they'll let us out of our lease for free.

So, yay for finally being on a waiting list of some sort. I have no idea how long it will take to move from 46 to the top of the list but we still have another 8-10 weeks before we need to move. So, hopefully that is enough time.

I just wish I could REQUEST a 2 story house. I hated our one story house in Orleck... it was soo soooo small for a 4 bedroom . I think I would seriously go nutts with that small of a house and 4 kids. :sadeyes

awwwwwwww Im sorry, so they wont let you choose wher eyou want to live over here, when we moved in I told housing I wanted to be directly across from a school, the guy gave us addresses and told us to check them out and get back to him the next day.....so we got to pick which one we wanted...

:hugs I hope ya'll get a 2 story in Orleck in only a duplex with a nice big backyard for the kiddos and the pup to play in! :hugs Then I'll hope that we get a house not too far away so I can come play with all 5 of them! :)

Yeah, we will be back hopefully in another 8-10 weeks, maybe a little sooner depending on housing options. If one opens before then, as long as I've delivered the baby, we'll be moving. I am SO flipping excited to be done with the heat and humidity here. I feel like I'm about to die :yes :lol

Sorry about your wait... IMO I still think they need to do a Military wide housing audit. So many people have 2-5 bedroom homes that don't need it when their asses should be in a APT.

I hope the wait isn't that bad when we go look.

Good luck Brandi!!! I think you will get it way before Oct. We were 43 when they offered us our house. We got a 4 bedroom so I think you will get it sooner then you think. YAYAYAYY

Well, be prepared. I got the call that my house was ready when I was only number 43 on the list.

wow. i guess it really depneds on which housing you choose on how fast the list will move.. we were on the bayview waiting list for two months i moved from like 12 to 10 in those 2 months and we couldnt wait anymore so we got on another waiting list for where we are now, chollas heights, cuz they only had 2 people on the list. im glad it turned out this way anyway, cuz i like this neighborhood better then bayviews.
anyway, good luck to you! i guess it just depends on how often people move out of the community youre going into..

Oh man Brandi. Good luck and I have no experience with housing at all, but if these ladies say it will move fast, then I'm putting my money on the. This entire experience has been much harder than it should be, and the military should be ashamed of the housing availability in San Diego. Utterly and completely ridiculous!

I do know that the list for 4's is moving fast from when we moved out. They had someone placed in our house 2 weeks before we left. My house is already done and ready for move in from what my neighbor says. (we just checked out last friday)
