Oh dear. My FAVORITE FAVORITE restaurant is Roy's. Haleiwa Joe's is nice too but it's expensive.
What time is your reception? There's a nice place in Manoa called Waioli Tea Room...pretty casual, you can eat indoors or out, in a nice area of the island...if you don't want to spend a lot of money, that's probably the way to go. Food is good too. http://thewaiolitearoom.net/

I like Cattle Company off KAM highway... its a good place to eat but not sure if its the best place for a receaption. If you are looking for somewhere near wakiki i like Ruth Chris or the Yard house (best to reserve a room at these 2)
uummmm... what area are you going for?

We did the same thing! We did our dinner at Duke's though, so there were a lot of bikinis outside!
