How do I get to Seatac? Would it be easier to take the ferry or go around? I know I can mapquest it but I'd rather get info from someone who as actually done it. :)

It'll be easier. shafersgirl 06-24-2006, 01:17 AM I have onlt ever driven it, and its not that bad.. Very well marked with signs. Good Luck Sarah 06-24-2006, 01:45 AM I 've driven seems easier -you take 16 towards Tacoma and go around Tacoma and catch I-5 north to seattle .You just stay on I-5 there are signs .It is a pretty good drive depending on the time of day you might or might not hit traffic. Not sure if this helps ? That's the way I go :yes. I don't know the exact exit for SeaTac, but you will see a lot of signs and it's very well marked ;) SubmarineWife 06-24-2006, 11:28 AM I think the exit is 151-A. I never use it anymore as i take another exit. instant_oatmeal 06-24-2006, 04:43 PM Thanks girls....I'm just so afraid of bridges I was hoping to avoid the narrows. hehehe Polkadot 06-24-2006, 11:36 PM Nope no avoiding that one ! yesterday I was stuck on it for a few munutes in traffic (gulp) I was not loving that ! it is pretty up there though !! DaPookie 06-25-2006, 10:42 AM Are you picking someone up, or going their for a flight yourself? If you're going for yourself, there's an Airporter thingie that definitely leaves from Silverdale...I've taken it, but I dunno how you make reservations for it. My hunny did it for me last time. I think it was like $20. Good luck! instant_oatmeal 06-25-2006, 05:55 PM My sister is thinking about visiting next month so I would be picking her up. I was thinking of making her take the shuttle hehehe I would DIE if I got stuck on that bridge!!! shafersgirl 06-25-2006, 06:14 PM In case you don't already have the link... www.kitsapairporter.com AndreaLeigh 07-10-2006, 02:23 AM The airporter sucks, IMO. I will never use it again. The time isn't worth any money I would save. It took us 2 hours to get to the airport, and on the way home we were bumped and had to wait 2 hours before even getting on the bus, and then it took 2 extra hours because the driver was late and got into bridge traffic. Definately drive. You are just making things harder for yourself by taking the ferry. It's actually a longer distance that way, and longer time. The Bainbridge ferry is a 25 minute drive from base, 35 minute ferry, and about 20 minutes to Seatac. The Bremerton is even longer. It only takes me 50 minutes to drive to Sea-Tac in no traffic. Times to avoid the bridge would be 7-9 and 4-7. allypowell 07-10-2006, 04:56 PM i like taking the farry over and back it costs the same in gas as it does to go there and back i'm sure and you dont have to do that tidus drive i hate it. |
