the landing where fry's is is getting super nice. they just opened a joe's sporting goods there this week, plus there's lowe's, target, la fitness, staples, petco, & a ross is opening soon among others.

Welcome! I'm south of the base by 20 minutes. You did well on your drive. We used to live in both Riverside and Moreno Valley. My family are all up here in Washington so I've made that drive numerous times. We usually drove to Redding and the rest of the way the second day.

Welcome , I live in Yelm 1/2 hour from Lewis. I too am from Cali, grew up in the Inland Empire. Yes the drive up the I-5 is beautiful. It is cold up here but I've been here almost a year, so I have adjusted. This is actually our favorite duty station so far.

Lol, I was gonna rent a place in Yelm, until my DH was sent to Stryker school and plans changed again. Gotta love the Army!

Those apartments you were looking at the Beaumont Grand, they are in a nice area! Not too far from the freeway, or lewis. It looks like a very nice place too! DBs sister goes to school near there and the in-laws really like it. They seem to be happy with all the schools around Lakewood and Steilacoom.

Thank you, I went to see another 4plex today in Lacey. nice neighborhood and very inexpensive. $775 with 500 deposit. Free money.
