Is anyone a member or been to their warehouses? How much is the membership? The closest one to me is 2 hours away and I'm wondering if its really worth it.

Well, I have to be honest, I always thought they were the biggest crock of shit ever. I saw the commercials and thought "SCAM" :lol

But my husband is an engineer and his wife is a lead nurse in the burn unit at a big hospital, so they have some pretty big bucks and decided to build their own house.... it's fucking GINORMOUS... like 6-7 bedrooms, I think it's around 6,500 sq ft. HUGE mo fo. They built it from scratch and joined the direct buy thing to furnish all of their inside stuff like their cabinets and all that, and my uncle RAVED about it. He couldn't say enough good things about how much he saved. So, I know of at least one person who was VERY happy. he said he saved a ridiculous amount :dunno

My mom and stepdad bought a membership, and it's a waste of money. They bought a membership because they're building a house, but have since found EVERYTHING cheaper via local supply stores and ebay.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I can get a one day pass from their website but its a two hour drive one way so I wanted to know if its even worth it. So far it doesn't really sound like it.

There is one right down the road from my house. My mom told me a guy at her work is a member and likes it but I think it would be a waste of money if you arent trying to change or build a whole house.

its sooooo NOT worth it. it costs alot of money and like the other girls said, you need to remodel your house AND your neighbors. LOL...If you just want a couple of pieces of furniture...go to a real store.

how much is the membership?

Thats part of the scam. There is no set price. They will try to charge you as much as possible. They will offer payment contracts etc. The "sales" events are high pressured events.

One example is they tell you if you walk out without buying a membership, you can not come back for 7 years. etc.

They talk about "secret" profits of retailers. Does anyone not know that retail stores are in business to make a profit? No one walks in thinking they are buying at cost with no profit to the retailer.

Do a google search under scam and their name. Read the complaints and make your own decision.
