Is there any ones that offer faster results than the at-home tests that take a couple of weeks?

Is it for popcorn ceilings? When was the house built (if that is what it is for)? I believe asbestos was banned in 1978 (but i could be wrong).

That's what we were told too (our house was built in '81). But then my mom sent an article saying it was used until 1984. :confuzzle :dunno

Honestly it could STILL be asbestos, since even though lead paint was banned it was still being used illegally and passed off as non-lead based paint. I know that because my mom's house had lead paint and it was so very fun to deal with. :)
