Varies on amount of days in the month, what allotments he has taken out etc. Does it vary by ALOT?

Have you looked at his LES to compare them? Maybe he has an alotment coming out of just one of his checks but if it's a huge difference, I would check it out. Usually DH checks are the exact amount but when they differ it's because food money got taken out, or they made some adjustments. His pay check may be like 40 bucks off sometimes but never like 1 or 2 hundred unless he's having something taken out and it will say why on his LES. HTH

I know our 1st check is always bigger, because we set it up that way for rent, car payments and utilities. So I would check his LES, that should explain it!

DH's checks usually vary between $5-100 dollars, but that's because of the USD/Euro exchange rate. But when we were in the states, they usually fluctuated based on time spent out at "sea." DH tried to explain it to me, but when they go out for a couple days or a week or 2, they get fed on the ship, well, they lose the money they normally get for having to eat at home if they weren't at sea, BUT they get paid extra for being out to sea, so it kind of balances out. But I think that's why the paychecks fluctuate so much from month to month, as well as the fact that the months don't have the same days. But if they vary more than a couple hundred dollars every paycheck or from month to month, definately look at his LES and see what's going on with allotments and stuff.
