My husband is on the Kitty Hawk also. Its very sad to hear that this happened.

oh my gosh that is just way to sad and heartbreaking. i sure hope someone has rescued him. that is just way to young to have to die. how on earth did he get so close to the edge. that is just so so sad. i sure hope they can find him. gosh its so heartbreaking because i have a son who is 19 and i can only imagine how his parents must be feeling right now.

That sucks. :pray The good news is that he was trained on what to do in the event he was thrown overboard...I just hope they find him soon :sadeyes

Prayers go out to the crew and the family of the missing sailor.

This is the first I heard of it.....I am now going to e-mail my cousin who is on the Kitty Hawk.

My thoughts & prayers with with him! I hope he is hold quickly & is safe!

I was nervous when I first heard of this since we have 2 friends on there. I'm glad to hear it wasn't them but also sad that someone did go overboard.

how on earth did he get so close to the edge.

It's actually not that hard to get close to the egde. I've been close to it & I was even a crew member.

You still don't even have to be *that* close to be thrown over in a decent gust of wind. The flight deck is so dangerous!

Oh my ex is on that ship, hes still one of my very good friends. He told me his ship is coming to Australia soon, but i wont be here for it. :(. I met alot of people from that ship in Sydney last year- it's so sad that happened :(.

well hopefully he was wearing his safety vest type thing. my hubby told me what they are supposed to be wearing so if he was wearing it then he should have been found. I sure hope he was wearing it. has anyone heard anything more about it?
